History

Ron at the kitchen.

After experiencing the long hours and hard work in his parent’s restaurant in Michigan, Ron LeBaron vowed he’d never do it again. He worked for General Motors, and then after moving to Idaho, found himself back in the food industry managing Country Inn in Nampa. With the demanding schedule, he determined he might as well open his own restaurant.

Lebaron's family in front of the restaurant.

In 1974, the historic Honker Cafe became known as ”LeBaron’s Honker Café”. It had its humble beginnings with a few booth, but through the years expanded to the size it is today. The four LeBaron children worked in the restaurant as well as Ron’s wife Barb. Having completed is 48th anniversary. LeBaron’s Honker Cafe continues to serve up its many homemade delights. To all of dedicated customers, we say ”WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!”

Ryan and Ron.

LeBaron’s Honker Cafe continues to serve up its many homemade delights but now with a new ownership Ron’s son Ryan LeBaron.

Wonderful small town feel, with friendly staff. Average meal variety, good quality and above average portions. This was our second time visiting, and it didn't disappoint.

Our favorite restaurant in the Treasure Valley. This little hidden gem will please your taste buds. Menu has a great variety and the prices are very reasonable. The service is fast and friendly. I can't say enough about how good the homemade food is here. We are regulars here and will continue coming back. Yummy biscuits and gravy!
